Hands On Physio - About Us

About Hands On Physio

Kate Thomson graduated from the New Zealand School of Physiotherapy in 1991. For the next 6 years, Kate worked in a variety of physiotherapy settings (hospital, private practice, sports medicine and community). In 1997, Kate’s physiotherapy practice began to move away from the rapid pace of conventional physiotherapy. In addition to wanting to offer her clients a more personal, thoughtful and heart-centered physiotherapy experience than is typically found in a busy practice, Kate wanted to offer her clients a wider range of therapeutic modalities. To this end, Kate established Hands on Physio.

We now understand that optimal health is achieved by creating balance in all aspects of our lives. The interconnection of our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual selves is essential for wellness. It is with this understanding and the belief that healing involves more than just addressing the physical body that Kate works with her clients and supports them in their healing.
